Ploidy estimation and pre-selection of banana autotetraploids after in vitro polyploidy induction

ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of parameters fresh leaf mass and stomatal density in estimation ploidy pre-selection putative banana autotetraploids. Young plants diploid cultivar Ouro (AA), previously subjected vitro polyploidization with antimitotic amiprofos-methyl - APM (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 60 µM L-1) colchicine (2.5 mM were evaluated for survival, height, number leaves, pseudostem diameter, disc mass, density.
